All New Look Esemka Rajawali

5 statue that became controversial in Indonesia

Statue is three-dimensional of man's work is specifically designated as a place of art appreciation. But this work can reap the controversy, both because of the 'sexy' or not in accordance with the mysticism atmosphere of the local community.

 

  

Here are 5 statue caused controversy in Indonesia:

1. Obama Statue

Following the controversy, the statue of Little Obama installed in Menteng Park, Central Jakarta, displaced, Sunday (14/02/2010) night to SD 01 Menteng. Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo agreed aspirations to move "Barry Dreams Statue" at Barack Obama's former school permanently. 2. Statue of Gus Dur

This is a controversial statue of 'Gus Dur's Heart' by Purnomo Cipto, controversy because it is a Buddha stature. The difference is, the head of the Buddha replaced Gus Dur's head complete with thick glasses. This statue, along with three other Gus Dur statues featured in cultural arts degree titled 'Multisesigusdurisme' at Studio Mendut in Magelang, on Friday, February 5, 2010. According Cipto, making this controversy statue there was no intention to offend Buddhists. According Cipto again, Buddha statues are describes Abdurrahman Wahid is portrays a pluralistic, socially acceptable and picture goodness. 3. Statue of Three Mojang
